Arizona has been the home of the blazing rock/pop sounds of Ellington Effect for almost four years. Filled with soulful, personal lyrics and catchy hook-laced vocals, "EE" is making a connection with audiences all over.

The music has 90's rock influences accented by blistering guitar solos, powerful beats and driving bass. Ellington Effect is cutting it's own niche in the southwest music scene. If you've seen live music in the Phoenix Metropolitan area you've probably ran into EE at some point.

Ellington Effect's moniker is rooted in the way the group formed and how they mesh as a band. EE is made up of artists that came from different genre bands. Each band member had their own different styles and sound coming into the band. When the guys began testing the water, they found their music changing and taking on a life of it's own. While trying to come up with a name, the band stumbled across the musical term "Ellington Effect".

Defined as: "When a new sound is created from when different individuals with different musical backgrounds and styles come together as a group". It fit perfectly and thus Ellington Effect was born.
