SUGAR BOXX stars bring New Women-In-Prison Film to Phoenix

1975. Sugar State Women’s Facility, Florida Everglades.

A blistering hellhole where innocent girls are forced to slave in the swamps by day then turn tricks for the warden by night. A prison camp where corruption, brutality, and sexual abuse are all part of the daily routine. But when reporter Valerie March goes undercover inside Sugar State - that’s when the powder keg really explodes!

Saturday December 5, stars Geneviere Anderson (CSI Miami) who plays the smart-ass reporter and The’la “Rain” Brown (Flavor Of Love) as the hilariously foul-mouthed hooker; bring SUGAR BOXX to MADCAP Theaters at 8pm for one show only. Director Cody Jarrett will also be in attendance. There will be a Q & A with the deadly duo of Geneviere and The’la followed by a signing; both of these follow the screening. Admission to the event is $10.

SUGAR BOXX also features Buxom cult legends Tura Satana (Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!) as the merciless judge and Kitten Natividad (Russ Meyer’s UP!) as the lusty matron.

An authentic homage to 1970’s women-in-prison and grindhouse movies, SUGAR BOXX also features a rare appearance by the godfather of 1970’s exploitation film, writer/director Jack Hill (Coffy, Foxy Brown, Big Bird Cage).

Its musical score boasts contributions by The Millionaire of Combustible Edison fame and Steven Adler, formerly of Guns-N-Roses.

Experience life inside women’s prison - catfights, knife fights, rape, whippings, prostitution, and the “hot box” - before the inmates revolt and take their own bloody, unforgettable revenge. Inspired by the great women-in-prison films of the past, SUGAR BOXX takes everything one step further… SUGAR BOXX has it all!
